“Be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy” becomes the moral heartbeat of the book. A wide range of ethical commandments — love of neighbor, honesty, justice, and care for the vulnerable — is presented as sacred duty. Kedoshim insists that holiness is lived in everyday relationships.
Due to the long exile of the Jewish people, many Christian ideas have infiltrated Judaism through the back door. One such idea is the notion that saving the soul is more important than saving the body, and that the body is an obstacle to the soul. This idea is completely against the central tents of Judaism, and yet it has been adopted by certain parts of the Chareidi community.

Any view that absolves Jews of their responsibility to observe the laws of the Torah and to maintain high moral standards, claiming that they are automatically considered holy, should be condemned.
We live for love. We are prepared to give up anything to experience it. But we should never forget that love means preference. No one craves universal love.
